Haley and Hunter’s Western Texas meets modern boho wedding was UNMATCHED!
I mean, when LA is introduced to Texas… You get a cute little match up, amiright?!
MEET THE COUPLE: HALEY + HUNTER
The couple met when Haley first moved from LA to Austin over 3 years ago. Honestly? It was an absolute match made in heaven.
From the get-go, these two texas sweeties bonded over their love for animals. Haley grew up riding horses while Hunter just opened up his own Veterinary Hospital. A match made in heaven!
Getting to experience Haley and Hunter’s love first hand was electric!
When Haley and Hunter were first looking at wedding Venues, they only toured one! Definitely, they knew that it was 100% where they needed to have their wedding!
MODERN BOHO WEDDING AT THE LUCKY SPUR RANCH
The Venue: Lucky Spur Ranch
- Wedding venue + Event Space in Justin, Texas

The Boho Design & Inspiration
Coco Fleur Events knocked it out of the park with the floral arrangements all weekend!
Lisa, the owner and designer of Coco Fleur, designed an elegant, romantic floral altar piece covering the wood altar with color tones of white, cream, beige and light pink roses.
Subsequently, there was a crystal chandelier hanging down the middle of the altar which gave it an elegant twist with the rustic vibe. Along with that, there was a white drapery around the wood mixed in with all the florals too.
The Wedding Neutrals
The best part about boho themed weddings?! THE NEUTRALS.
All of the groomsmen wore blue suits while the bridesmaids wore a neutral tone of pink color.
The bride’s bouquet was shades of neutral white roses mixed in with a lighter tone of light pink. Also, there were pieces of mix-maxed florals mixed in embracing the organic shapes.
The Other Juicy Details
Remember how I said that Haley was a major horse girl?! Well that fact comes into play their entire modern boho wedding! STARTING WITH HER SHOES… Haley had two different pairs. One were crystal western boots, and the second was a pair of sparkly, modern heels.
WE LOVE A GIRLY TWIST.
As an, “I CAN’T WAIT TO MARRY YOU,” gift, Hunter surprised Haley with a new horse just days before their wedding. Haley wanted me to incorporate her new horse’s halter in the pictures. Guys, it was so sentimental!
AND THEN THERE WAS THE FIRST LOOK WITH HER DAD. Being daddy’s little girl, this moment was something she always dreamed of. Her dad instantly broke out in tears when he first saw her. There is something about seeing a dad’s reaction to seeing his daughter for the first time on her wedding day! I mean, the tears were FLOWING.
For cocktail hour, they had miniature donkeys called The Beer Burros serving the alcohol! They were legitimate donkey servers coming around serving beer out of their baskets. How can you not love donkeys serving you a beer? To say the least,it was an unforgettable experience!
CAPTURING YOUR WEDDING ON FILM
There is just something about using film and incorporating it into the weddings I get to capture.
Film gives off a nostalgic look of looking timeless which you can’t recreate from digital. Honestly, it is just incredible. It gives clients a different perspective of their day in a fun vintage format.
It is the best way to capture those wild, crazy moments on the dance with a nostalgic twist. DON’T YA THINK?!
Film Details for Hunter + Haley’s Modern Boho Wedding
For this modern boho wedding, I shot on and off using a film Camera. If we are being honest, the film I captured from Hunter and Haley’s day turned out remarkable.
The film I used was Kodak 200 Gold Color Negative Film and a Ektar 100 Color Negative Film.
