Capturing Jessica + Russell’s Modern Desert Wedding at The Paseo as an Arizona Wedding Photographer.
Since October is the best time of year to get married in Arizona, Jessica and Russell already started their wedding off with a bang. However, when the paired it with The Paseo? IT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE KIND OF NIGHT.
MEET THIS ARIZONA COUPLE: Jessica + Russell
Obviously their story didn’t start at their wedding at the Paseo. So, let’s deep dive into it!
These two started talking in 2020, after she was working as a flight attendant with Russell’s cousin. Jaime, the cousin, asked for Jessica’s social media so that she could show her cousin who was single at the time. Russell was hesitant to meet her. However, Jessica was exactly what he was looking for, and he knew it. He eventually drew up enough courage to slide into her DMs.
I don’t know about you, but I love a 21st-century love story.
Jessica eventually moved to Arizona in the later part of that year. Although they were originally going to just stick to long-distance for a while, a furlough ended up pushing Russell to book a one way trip to the deserts of AZ.

The Paseo Venue is it! It’s the DREAMIEST of all wedding venues in the Arizona desert. It overlooks the majestic Superstition Mountains. As well as offering the perfect combo of spectacular mountain views and the cactus desert terrain.
As an Arizona-based Wedding Photographer, I have experienced quite a few venues. If you haven’t heard it before, let me be the first to tell you that this venue has some of the most iconic spots. I mean, everywhere you turned there was a perfect place to capture portraits. THE BEST OF THE BEST.
I, ten out of ten, recommend having your wedding at the Paseo in Apache Junction, Arizona.
The Flower Men
Who needs flower girls when you can have flower men?
Their flower men understood the assignment. They even handed out beers while they walked down the aisle. Nobody will ever forget this iconic flower men duo.
Here’s the thing, DON’T BE AFRAID TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN AT YOUR WEDDING.
Create memories you’ll be talking about forever. Who needs to follow hundred year old traditions when you can simply create your own that are authentic to you?!
The Party at the Paseo
Oh, boy did Jessica and Russell know how to party!
Let’s say things got a little RISKY at the Paseo! Confused? Give me a minute to introduce to you Tom Cruise… I mean Russell in Risky Business! He snuck away to surprise Jessica by reenacting Tom Cruise in Risky Business running in with his shirt and socks on during the garter toss.
IT WAS ICONIC, to say the least.
Having your wedding at The Paseo ensures that you are able to dance the night way. With its huge indoor modern event space, there is plenty of room for all of your family and friends.
