Reid & Carson’s desert engagement photos
Reid & Carson are originally from Texas. You’d never be able to tell though because of how well they fit in with the AZ environment! They also go to visit Arizona together, and when they got engaged, they decided to plan another trip for their engagement photos. These two told me they wanted an epic backdrop of the mountains and Arizona’s famous cacti – so we found them just that!
About Superstition Mountain
Let’s talk a lil bit about the dreamy backdrop these two chose for their engagement session.
Superstition Mountain is in Phoenix, north of Gold Canyon. It is a super popular destination for outdoor activities like hiking and even horseback riding. It definitely gets super hot in the summertime like most of Arizona does. Make sure if you’re taking summer engagement photos here that you bring lots of water and stay hydrated!
Superstition Mountain is an easy place to make a trip out of, if you want to spend longer than just a couple hours in the area for your session. Stay at a cute Airbnb, go hiking or biking, and visit the Superstition Mountain Museum!

Reid & Carson wanted to create variety in their photos by wearing two sets of outfits: one on the fancier side, and one more casual. I’m only including the fancier outfit in this gallery because it was the highlight of the evening – I mean look at Reid’s dress!

Carson wore a classic dark tux with a white undershirt, which went perfectly with Reid’s shiny + stylish look. Who says beige outfits can’t look good out in a beige + neutral colored desert??
