This Love Struck Elopement in Big Sur will leave you speechless! Undoubtedly, in all of my years as an Elopement Photographer, I have never been a part of something quite this jaw-dropping!
BIG SUR ELOPEMENT SPECIFICS
Upon inquiry, I was so excited! I mean, I was simultaneously jumping up and down! Soon, I would be given the opportunity to capture photos of the elopement of the century!
Chiefly, the entire thing was giving me Alice in Wonderland mixed with Old Time Hollywood vibes! The punky shades of reds and pinks really made the decor pop! The floral details that Cassia Floret created, tied everything together!
Bea wore the most INCREDIBLE dress from @jjpdressrentals with the cutest puffy sleeves! She truly looked amazing! Likewise, Elmer was wearing a suit with his formal white shirt buttoned-down.
As an ode to the theme, the couple rented an old classic convertible from Monterey Touring Vehicles and drove up and down the coast! I can’t think of anything more magical than having the west coast wind blowing through your hair on one of the best days of your life!
ELOPING IN BIG SUR, CALIFORNIA
Big Sur, California is a very popular destination for elopements, and for good reason! You just cannot get enough of the cliffs! Plus, the close proximity to the beach and the redwood forest gives you a little bit of everything!
I bet you didn’t know that with its awe-inspiring coastline, it is one of the top destinations to get married at in the United States of America!
Of course, the cute town of Monterey is one of my favorites! Adjacent to California’s coast, it is a quiet and quaint town where people go to retire! They golf and enjoy scenic views!
To get to Big Sur, you can easily fly into Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) or fly into San Jose Airport (SJC) which is about a 2-hour drive to the coast.
Ventana Campground is 40 acres of land in the redwood forest and is the most amazing spot to hold your reception! When planning your Big Sur Elopement, I recommend checking out the campground’s website! It is full to the brim with incredible information and what to expect!
