Rosey and Houston’s Glamorous Old Hollywood Wedding in Downtown Dallas, Texas will have you screaming lights, camera, action! If you ask me, it’s for a good reason!

If you are looking for wedding inspiration, you will DEFINITELY find it here. Get ready, friend, because this wedding was all the glits and the glam rolled into one!

FALLIN’ IN LOVE AT THE COMEDY CLUB

Rosey and Houston met in Dallas in 2016 when they were both performing improv at the Dallas Comedy House. They both fell in love instantly with the chemistry they had that soon developed into a friendship and then a love for each other that was unexplainable. They are the perfect dynamic duo!

Rosey is not only a local comedian, she is also a fashion icon for curvy girls. Rosey is a well-known social media influencer for curvy women. Basically, she is an icon!

DID SOMEONE SAY, ” GLAMOROUS OLD HOLLYWOOD WEDDING?”

WEDDING VENUE

The Mason in Dallas, Texas is a new wedding venue located in Dallas’s Oak Cliff neighborhood next to Bishop Arts District. It is a unique historical building filled with vintage elegant artifacts and glamour.

The building is over 100 years old and has been newly renovated with a classy vintage and glamorous old Hollywood feel! The venue’s entry ballroom has crystal chandeliers which give a very warm and romantic vibe.

The best part? Every room in the venue is decorated differently with different vintage artifacts of chairs, a grand piano, tables, etc.

The venue is two stories with the grand ballroom upstairs and the dining room area downtown stairs. The bridal suite has its own level in the basement so nobody can see them! The Mason venue is a reimagined venue in the heart of Dallas that is like no other. It is the perfect venue if you want a winter or fall wedding indoors.

GLAMOROUS BRIDAL SUITE

The glamorous bridal suite took my breath away!

This was the perfect bridal suite for all and any bride looking to get ready in with the perfect amount of natural light. It is designed with big chairs that allow you to get your hair and makeup was done as if you were in an actual hair salon. There is room for the bride and for each bridesmaid to have their own chair.

There are multiple areas to hang up all of the dresses and even an area to chill and lounge while getting ready.

It was so fun to capture with the art-deco giving off the Hollywood glam vibe.

CLASSY VENDORS

Rosey and Houston had such unique vendors that really added such a special touch to their glamorous old Hollywood wedding.

At their wedding, they had a gal who wrote poems for everyone.  She wrote a poem for me and told me when the timing is right, I will know when to read it. It was such an interesting and fun concept to have at the wedding because it was something memorable to take home from the night.

There was a mobile coffee bar set up all night downstairs that had the best coffees! Night Owl Coffee is a craft mobile coffee bar that brought the coffee experience to the next level. I HIGHLY recommend hiring this mobile coffee bar at any event! It was such a hit with all the guests with all the fun flavors for the season. It kept us energized for the whole night!

Modern Day Wedding Details for Mid-Century Glamorous Old Hollywood Wedding

MID-CENTURY, OLD HOLLYWOOD DESIGN

To understand the design concept, you need to know that Rosey is obsessed with Halloween and everything fall! When she and Houston got engaged, there was no doubt in her mind that she wanted a fall wedding.

She designed her table settings to be a bit witchy with tarot cards, rotten apples with a dash of mid-century Hollywood. Their wedding colors were deep purples and greens, oranges, mixed with creams and pinks. Can someone say, “GORG?”

WEDDING DAY FLORALS

If you have read any of my other blogs (if you haven’t, check them out HERE), you know that I am a sucker for flowers! That being said, I was in Floral heaven with everything Studio Terilla designed. They designed a beautiful floral arch in the grand ballroom for the ceremony backdrop that was a wow factor! Every table for dinner was perfectly decorated with florals adding in a lot of texture and design.
