Bartlett Lake Desert Couple’s Session

Camilla and Laurence eloped last November in Las Vegas, Nevada. They actually didn’t have a photographer capture their elopement. When I heard this, I knew that we needed to create the dreamiest Bartlett Lake Desert Couple’s Session.  Being that this was their first time ever getting professional photos taken, THEY WERE STUNNING TO CAPTURE!

They were absolutely naturals and knew exactly what to do.  I am truly honored they allowed me to finally capture their love together and show people that they eloped.

CAMILLA AND LAURENCE’S DREAMY DESERT COUPLE’S SESSION IN ARIZONA

FINDING THE PERFECT LOCATION AT BARTLETT LAKE, AZ

Being that Laurence was born and raised in Arizona his whole life, and he knows and understands Arizona’s natural beauty and all that it has to offer. He actually spends a lot of time riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle around the open roads just crusin’ through the Arizona desert and finding new and beautiful landscapes.

Without a doubt, Laurence knew he wanted a session in the Arizona desert. Luckily, Camilla was all for it as well!

Bartlett Lake is about 18 miles from Cave Creek, and it is a hidden gem for sure! It is a beautiful reservoir that is nestled in the mountains of Arizona. The drive to Bartlett Lake is stunning with rolling hills of cacti. This reservoir is a great place to cool off in the summer. You can also hike, fish, and boat in it!

ADVENTURING AT BARTLETT LAKE

When we were looking at locations, we decided it would be easier if I came and met them! Once we were in the same location, I hopped in their car, and we adventured together!

PRO TIP:  When working with a photographer, especially in remote areas, it is a lot easier to get into the same car when heading to locations.

I actually love the time we spend together getting to know each other while we drive out there. It also gives us the chance to pick specific locations together.

As a photographer based in Arizona, there are still so many local locations that I have never been to and am so excited to shoot at! I love being able to explore new areas with my couples and see new areas in Arizona that are absolutely jaw-dropping with a desert-y view.
