Grecia + Paul’s Moody Downtown Seattle Wedding is one for the books. Although I have moved my wedding and elopement photography business to the deserts of Arizona, I still have so much appreciation for Pacific Northwest weddings. Without a doubt, I look forward to shooting them every chance I get.

TYING THE KNOT IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE

Grecia is a local hair and makeup artist for the wedding industry in the Seattle area. I got the pleasure to meet Grecia and her family a couple of years ago at Grecia’s sister’s wedding. Significantly, getting to connect with them all again was such an incredible opportunity.

IT IS ALL IN THE MOODY WEDDING DETAILS

Everything about Grecia and Paul’s intimate Downtown Seattle wedding had me speechless. Particularly, it was a DREAM! The design and texture of the floral gave off a romantic vibe with color shades of whites, browns, oranges, and pinks.

The venue, The Corson Building, alone had green ivy hanging up and down the walls which gave a magical greenhouse feel. In this case, this venue was in the heart of Georgetown in West Seattle. As a result, it was only about a 7-minute drive from Downtown Seattle where all the wedding guests stayed.

With this in mind, I have to say that this was one of the most beautifully designed floral installs I have ever seen. The talent behind the florals were from Bahtoh, a local Seattle Florist. The florist even showed me how he relaxed some Tulips to give off a different texture and design to the flower. Safe to say, I was blown away.

REMINICINSING ON THE SPECIFICS

The one thing I remember from Grecia’s sister’s wedding was they loved to celebrate and pop open the tequila. Because of this, I wasn’t surprised that signature drinks were Cuba Libre and a Cantarito. The Cuba Libre was served in a Mexican coke bottle with rum, lime, and bitters. The Cantarito was served in a clay jarritos with tequila, lime, orange, salt, and quirt.

To welcome Paul and Grecia to their wedding party they had a mariachi band play during cocktail hour in the garden where all their friends drank.
