Annette Ambrose Photography, an Arizona-based photographer, captures Desert Engagement Photos in the stunning landscape of the Superstition Mountains.

Getting to Know the Couple BEFORE Their Photos

Meet Garrett and Alicia, a couple whose love story started in a California casino back in 2016.

Fate intervened when Garrett struck up a conversation with Alicia in the cafeteria, sparking a connection that would blossom into a beautiful relationship.

Despite working opposite shifts in different departments, their paths crossed again, leading Alicia to ask for Garrett’s number. Fast forward to now, they’ve become inseparable and embarked on a new chapter in Arizona, falling in love with the desert and sharing their lives with three beloved cats

The Perfect Desert Engagement Photos Setting:

There’s nothing quite like the allure of a desert engagement session, and Superstition Mountains offers the perfect Arizona experience.

With its iconic Saguaro cacti and vast desert landscapes, it’s no wonder why this location tops the list for couples seeking a stunning and distinctive engagement session. For Alicia and Garrett, the choice was clear – they wanted a desert scene with cacti, and Superstition Mountains delivered.

And being a desert photographer?!

I couldn’t have picked a better spot.

The Superstition Mountains Magic:

The Superstition Mountains hold a special place in the hearts of many, including mine.

It’s a two-for-one deal with the classic cactus vibes combined with the panoramic views of a desert mountain surrounded by cacti.

Lost Dutchman State Park, where the engagement session took place, provides the perfect setting – far enough from the busy town to escape the crowds yet close enough for convenience. The diverse cacti at the Superstition Mountains make sure that every photo is a masterpiece, especially during spring!

An Engagement Photo Tip YOU Should Know

To capture those authentic moments, let me stress the importance of building a connection with your photographer.

It.

Is.

Important.

Finding a photographer who can make you feel comfortable is key.

Bonding with their photographer during the engagement session can really make or break your experience, especially if they’ll be capturing your wedding day too.

If you aren’t sure where to start, try setting up a phone call with your potential photographer OR stalk them on social media to ensure compatibility.
