There’s nothing like marrying your best friend, and for Heather and Ian, this was the essence of their wedding day.
Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they exchanged vows and celebrated their love amidst the breathtaking desert scenery. From the heartfelt recitation of their vows to their enchanting first dance, every moment of their day felt like a fairytale coming to life.
Meet the Happy Couple
Heather and Ian’s love story began in early 2021 when they met on Bumble in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Their shared passion for music, from the Allman Brothers to Elton John and Norah Jones, quickly brought them together. After becoming inseparable, they moved to North Carolina last summer.
In December, Ian proposed in Raleigh, their new home city, in front of their families. By March, they had purchased their first home and were eagerly looking forward to their April wedding. With Ian’s family in California and Heather’s scattered across Colorado, Ohio, and Arizona, Tonto Verde, where Heather’s aunt resides, was the perfect midpoint for their joyous celebration.

Heather and Ian began their day by getting ready at a charming Airbnb before heading to the golf course. The ceremony took place on the lush greens near the clubhouse. It was followed by a cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing inside the elegant clubhouse
The exclusivity of Tonto Verde Golf Community, being a member-only destination, added a unique and special touch to their celebration.
Heather’s Artistic Touch
Heather’s creativity was in every detail of their wedding.
From personally water-coloring her wedding invitations to designing all the intricate details, her artistic flair shone through. Inspired by Claude Monet’s “Water Lilies,” her chosen colors of pastel purples, blues, greens, and pinks added a delicate, romantic ambiance to the day.

In addition to traditional photography, Heather and Ian chose to capture their special day with Super-8mm video film.
