If you’ve been dreaming of winter engagement photos, then this gallery is for you! It’s seriously the epitome of a perfect winter session straight outta Pinterest.

I adventured with Mary & Kenny in North Bend on Valentine’s Day for their engagement session. And let me tell you, it did not go as planned. These two currently live in the midwest, but both grew up in the Pacific Northwest. So they wanted to have their engagement session in the PNW mountains – butttt the snow decided to hit Washington HARD t that weekend (where my fellow PNW friends at who experienced the same snowstorm?). So instead of driving far into the mountains, we adventured around North Bend in the blizzard for their adventure engagement session.

The Session

We started off at a gorgeous area near Snoqualmie Falls, where the snow was dumping and it was way colder than expected (as you can see from Mary’s spaghetti strap summer-y dress). They made the absolute best out of the weather and had a blast running through the snow in their fancy clothes.

This spot was perfect because we had pretty snow-covered trees and some open area to walk around, too. Snoqualmie Falls is one of my favorite places to photograph sessions in the North Bend area because of its landscape and all the different backgrounds you can get (the waterfall, the trees, etc.).

Then we headed to a creek near the town for some super windy photos on top of a viewpoint! I love love wind in photos because of the movement it creates, even if you’re freezing – promise it’ll be worth it! Just look at how killer Mary & Kenny look (especially with the black jacket & stylish velvet coats they put on).

After we hit the pretty creek, we headed downtown and made a stop at Scott’s Dairy Freeze. Because who doesn’t love some good ice cream on a freezing cold, snowy day?

Mary & Kenny were so easy to photograph and had a blast with me even in the crazy weather we got hit with! I loved how playful their engagement photos turned out and I’m so glad we ventured around North Bend. If you’re dreaming of having winter engagement photos, I say go for it & be ready for any kind of weather!

Some of my favorite spots for sessions around North Bend include:
