Are you looking for the perfect wedding venue in Phoenix, Arizona?
One that makes your dreams come true?

Lucky for you, I might know a few…

You really can get married in Arizona all year round which is my favorite part of being an Arizona wedding photographer. Most people tend not to book weddings in the Phoenix area between June and August–which is only a three-month window compared to other states in the US. Even in Arizona’s summer months, people head up north to the Flagstaff area for weddings where the temperatures are much cooler.

5 Wedding Venues in Phoenix from an Arizona Wedding Photographer

Arizona offers an assortment of beautiful landscapes for weddings. Being a PNW and living in Arizona for almost 10 years now, I truly can see the magic of why couples decide to get married in the desert. There is just that special something about the desert tones and landscapes that draws us all in.

Here is a guide to just a few of my favorite wedding venues in Arizona.

Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens in Phoenix, AZ

This Phoenix wedding venue is truly a hidden oasis that you don’t want to miss! It is one of the only greenhouses in Arizona for weddings. Do I need to say more after looking at their wedding reception area?

This wedding venue is located in the heart of Phoenix and the greenhouse has stunning lush green plants hanging everywhere with a romantic feel.

This venue has breathtaking beauty with its Moroccan-style archways and its huge indoor greenhouse. The Boojum Tree has a lot of greenery that adds to the whimsical feel of any wedding. The wedding venue fits up to 200 guests with indoor and outdoor event space. There is truly nothing like this venue in the Phoenix area. Where else can you find a wedding venue that offers a greenhouse-style event space? You won’t!

There are private rooms designed apart from each other for the couples to separate before the wedding. It’s always great to be able to get ready on-site!

If you love art, plants, and sculptures this Phoenix wedding venue has your name written all over it. There is an art attraction at this venue that gives it a cool vibe!

The @boojum_tree offers indoor & outdoor space with a variety of stunning backdrops everywhere you turn. This is any couple’s dream paradise for wedding photos!

Phoenix Ice House

If you’re looking for an intimate wedding in the Phoenix area, the Ice House is the perfect example of how you don’t have to have the traditional Arizona desert landscape as your wedding venue.

Downtown Phoenix is so much more than cacti –and I can’t wait to share this industrial alternative wedding venue with you.

This wedding venue gives me a more romantic, cozy vibe with the brick walls and rustic lighting. The Bridal suite gives off a boho, industrial look which makes for gorgeous bridal/getting-ready photos!

One of the attractions of this venue is the open-air roof for the ceremony space. There is truly nothing like this venue anywhere with an open roof. Only in Arizona, we would have a venue with an open roof to let the fresh air in!

Attached to the ceremony space there are two other separate rooms great for your cocktail hour and reception. There is even a huge garden/lawn where couples have their cocktail or reception at. So you get a few options depending on what feel you want for your intimate wedding at the Ice House.

So what do you say, want to find out more? Head here!

The Paseo in Pinal County

Not only does The Paseo wedding venue have a gorgeous backdrop overlooking the Superstition Mountains, but it also has a huge indoor event space! That is what you call the best of both worlds.

This is your typical Arizona desert wedding venue with all the views. It’s the DREAMIEST of all wedding venues in Arizona with the perfect combo of spectacular mountain views and the cactus desert terrain.

Arizona offers a lot of resorts to get married at but as far as wedding venues go, there are a lot fewer establishments that specialize in wedding venues. This wedding venue is seriously one of the most popular wedding venues in Arizona.

The Paseo is more of a modern designed venue that is more for intimate weddings with a smaller ceremony space, an indoor modern space, and another outdoor lawn for cocktail hour/reception. The private rooms for the couples are a bit smaller so when I say it’s more for intimate small weddings, I mean it. Although the venue space tends to be smaller, the views are forever-lasting!

Since this is one of my favorite wedding venues in Phoenix and is nestled right in the Superstition Mountains it tends to always be booked out a lot further in advance than most venues in the area. So if you are thinking of this venue, don’t wait and book early because there can be a 2-year wait limit to get in, or even make sure you are okay with having your wedding not on a Saturday!

Phoenix’s Desert Botanical Garden

Let me tell you when I say this venue has A LOT of options for weddings, I’m not being dramatic.

This wedding venue is located right in Papago Park, AZ stretching over 140 acres. This desert botanical garden has incredible views of desert scenic courtyards, pavilions, mountainous views, and intimate gardens with unique desert plants. This venue is iconic with all the picture-perfect views in the Phoenix area with its desert plants serving as your backdrop.

There are various packages where you can have just your ceremony, just a catered reception, or both reception and ceremony combined! It is one of my favorite things about this venue.

The Desert Botanical Gardens have many areas to get married in.
The wedding venue has:

  • Dorrance Center
  • Webster Center
  • Steele Herb Garden
  • Binns Wildflower Pavilion
  • Amphitheater

The wedding venue space is perfect for micro weddings as well as couples wanting just a ceremony or a reception.

With the Desert Botanical Gardens being located less than 10 minutes from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, it makes it easy for your guests not to have to rent a car and order Ubers around the city.

Every time I get the opportunity to document a wedding here, I always get taken aback by this gorgeous wedding venue spot overlooking Papago Mountain with its classic desert cactus terrain.

The Phoenician: Scottsdale Luxury Collection Resort

The Phoenician is located right in the middle of Scottsdale, AZ on the famous Camelback Road. That’s right, it’s on Camelback Mountain. The view of this resort can not get any better with the mountainous view of Camelback in the backdrop which makes it one of my favorite wedding venues in Phoenix.

This is more of a luxurious resort with all the amenities right on the property for your wedding.

There are three ceremony venues outside within the luxury resort you can get married: The Orchid Lawn, The Canyon Lawn, or the Canyon Patio. Each one has its own unique style and touches to add to your wedding day.

There are a couple of inside reception options with two outside lawn areas to have your reception match your wedding vision.

The Phoenician offers stunning gardens of desert landscapes, emerald green lawns, and attractions for everyone all in one place. The wedding I shot here was at Canyon Lawn! For bridal portraits, right next to the Canyon Lawn was a botanical garden area where we captured a few bride and groom portraits. Needless to say, they are STUNNING.

This resort is amazing for destination weddings with its all-inclusive packages making it wonderful for guests visiting. Plus it is only a 5-7 minute Uber ride into old town Scottsdale–enough said right?!
